Goulburn Race Club is built on a great patch of land and in keeping with that theme the club has announced a naming rights partner for its $150 000 SERA Country Championships Qualifier and associated showcase race meeting on Saturday 24th February.
Goulburn Race Club CEO Robyn Fife believes that having Antony & Edwards Real Estate on board on their red-letter day of racing helps demonstrate the marketability of “The Championships” concept for race clubs.
“We are thrilled to welcome Antony & Edwards on board as our major partner this coming weekend for our Country Championships qualifier race day,” Ms Fife said.
“The premium branding now associated with The Championships and the additional benefits it allows a race club such as ours to offer prospective sponsors is another strength of The Country Championships concept.”
Antony & Edwards Real Estate Partner, Tom Antony said the decision to link up with The Country Championships day at Goulburn was an easy one to make.
“We are very active in the Goulburn property market and focused on building our brand and reputation in the Goulburn and tablelands community”, Tom said.
“Being able to leverage that through supporting a great Goulburn event such as The Country Championships gives us opportunities for staff, clients and prospective buyers. It also helps us to generate a great entry level commercial relationship with the racing industry in NSW”.
Local training partners Emma & Lucy Longmire have also got behind the Country Championships concept by throwing their support behind the Fashions on the Field program SERA Country Championships at Goulburn.
Despite looking likely to miss out on having a runner in this year’s heat on their home track, the Longmire twins will still have a strong presence through their support of the always popular and competitive “dress to impress” event!
Other supporters of the Goulburn District Race Club’s Country Championships day include Your Home Matters, Goulburn Signs, Goulpro, Twinstar Racing and NJB Racing.
Goulburn’s qualifying race is potentially that first step on the “yellow brick road” to riches for country trained horses as they look to qualify for the Country Championships Final at Royal Randwick on April 7 which is worth half a million dollars!
The club will host the second heat of the Country Championships Qualifying series this Saturday 24th February with the race worth $150 000. Weights for the race will be declared by: 4:00PM, Tuesday 20, February with acceptances declared before: 9:00AM, Thursday 22, February.
