After a month’s hiatus following the Newhaven Park Country Championships Southern Wildcard, its red light on and racing at Goulburn on Monday with seven races to be run and won.
There’s a solid ‘boots and dust’ feel to the early part of the program with country boosted races taking the opening two time slots.
And as per the norm at the tablelands circuit the locals will serve up a strong hand on a track currently rated a Soft 5.
Danielle Seib has four runners across six races including track specialist Chaotic Beauty (Coriah Keatings) in Race 2, the Kirk’s Bridge Farm Country Boosted B58 Hcp over 1500m.
Scotty Collings has two runners with all eyes on Aunty Ginny in the closer, the Country Outfitters Class 1 Hcp over 1000m. The daughter of Smart Missile hasn’t been seen at the trials but she will look to pick up where she left off after a winning summer debut at the same trip.
Local legend Danny Williams has two acceptors on the card with the evergreen My Blue Jeans (Quade Krogh) aiming up for an incredible 109th start in Race 2! The tough grey continues to teach and toil honestly with top three results from his last four starts at country level.
