Late summer on the tablelands is a great time to be out and about and Goulburn Race Club will host its first “Sunday Sounds Live on The Lawn” on Sunday 21st February.
Whilst the jockeys leg up, patrons can turn up and tune in to some great Sunday Sounds on the lawns as part of the club’s seven-race program.
The Rich Pitcher and Peg Leg Meg are the feature artists at the event and will jam the afternoon full of fine tunes with patrons encouraged to BYO a blanket and picnic.
Goulburn Race Club CEO Robyn Fife believes the event combines the ideal time of year with the ideal setting at a time people are keen to be out and about.
“Sunday Sounds on the Lawn provides a timely opportunity to get together with friends, enjoy a great afternoon of live music with our last summer race meeting as the backdrop,” Ms Fife said.
“Locals are encouraged to bring a blanket and as a one off their own eats as well if they feel like doing so. It’s a really relaxed setting and the bands we have booked should put on a great afternoon of entertainment in combination with the races.”
“If people prefer they can also pre-order catering for the day through the race club. Drinks are available on course but no drinks are to be brought onto the premises.”
“Entry is $20 per adult and people can catch the live music throughout the afternoon between 12.00 -6.00pm.”
Patrons also have the option to pre-book tables, umbrellas, gazebos and indoor seating through the club.
“Sunday Sounds Live on The Lawn” will be run under relevant COVID restrictions and patrons will be given guidance by COVID marshals and race club staff during the event.
“Sunday Sounds Live on the Lawn” combines an afternoon trackside with the chance to hear some great live music amongst the picturesque lawns of Goulburn Race Club.
