‘LADY’ OR ‘BELLE’ NOT TO BE OUTFOXED AT ‘GIRLS’ DAY OUT (GOULBURN)

Goulburn Race Club is expecting a crowd of around 3000 on Saturday for what is now Goulburn’s biggest day of the social calendar.

The clubs’ massive Girls Day Out raceday always attracts a “racy” crowd and with gallopers accepting with names like Xaarfoxylady and La Foxie Belle the “belles” on track look assured of finding a horse to give them a real run for their money.

Xaarfoxylady steps out for the David Pfeiffer camp in Race 5 and is coming off an authoritative win last time out at Kembla Grange. The start before that she was a close-up fourth at Goulburn and cementing her form lines for Saturday’s outing is the fact that she also kicked off this campaign with a minor placed effort behind recent Saturday winner Cosmologist at Hawkesbury.

Foxie La Belle did what few gallopers do by winning on debut at Nowra for the Terry Robinson stable and she steps up to class one level in the first race, looking to kick off the Girls Day Out program with a win for all the “belles” on track.

Goulburn Race Club CEO Robyn Fife says it now looks guaranteed to be plenty of “Foxy Ladies” both on and off the track at the Girls Day Out race day on Saturday.

“We are really pleased with the trajectory of this raceday over the last few years. It has gone from strength to strength and with fine weather forecast on Saturday we are expecting another big crowd,” Ms Fife said.

“Country clubs rarely get to showcase their racing on a Saturday, so it’s a great opportunity to not just be broadcasting our races around the country but also give local ladies a chance to dress up and enjoy all the ‘champagne’ atmosphere of live racing.”

“There are plenty of things happening on and off the track with keenly contested fashions on the field events for ladies and men, live bands, entertainment areas and of course some competitive racing action with a little bit of champagne to go with it!”.

Saturday’s seven race card at Goulburn kicks off at 11.35am and the track is currently rated a Soft 7. View the fields, form and race replays for Goulburn’s Saturday meeting here.
